School Lunches

It is proven that pupils who have good, healthy diets, particularly during the school day, are more productive and more able to focus. Please feel free to read the information below about meals and snacks in school.

You can also download the menu rotations supplied by our school meal providers.

Our School Meals

School Lunch
A delicious meal is served daily in our school dining hall.  Children are encouraged to choose their own meals 4 weeks in advance; if for any reason they do not like their choice of meal they can change their option. Meal numbers are finalised with the kitchen at 10.30am. If your child goes home sick after 10.30am the school lunch will still be charged even if not taken.

To enable the service to be efficiently planned, the School requires advance notice of your child’s requirements.

  • 1 week notice to go on to dinners
  • 2 weeks’ notice if coming off school meals

Payment
The cost of a school lunch is £2.15 per day.  We request that payments are made in advance using our online payment system Parent Pay.

Packed Lunch
Alternatively, children may bring a packed lunch.  Our school supports the Healthy Schools Campaign and we would therefore ask that there are no sweets, chocolate bars or fizzy drinks included within the packed lunch.

NO NUTS OF ANY KIND are allowed (including Nutella and peanut butter).

Allergies
If your child has food allergies, please speak to Mrs McQue / Ms Unwin in the school office who will arrange a meeting to discuss your child’s requirements.

Water Bottles
Children are encouraged to drink water during the school day.  Please make sure your child brings a water bottle, clearly marked with their name, to school every day.

Free School Meals and Pupil Premium
If your child is eligible for free school meals, we will receive extra funding called ‘pupil premium’. This directly benefits the children who are eligible by supporting their day to day education. If you think you might be eligible, please contact the school office.

Milk
If you wish your child to have milk, please order direct from the Cool Milk website

Adobe Reader
You may need a product like Adobe Reader (free download) to view our PDF documents on our website.
