Enjoy and Achieve Together

We believe that all children have a right to a broad, balanced and relevant education which provides continuity and progression and takes individual differences into account. This has been our rationale in planning and implementing our curriculum. Our curriculum addresses all the requirements of the 2014 National Curriculum but with a strong emphasis on the development of positive attitudes towards learning and the direct teaching of skills necessary for pupils to fully engage in the learning process. The curriculum is designed to enable pupils to become active learners and experience a range of experiences that challenge, stimulate and promote thinking and learning. The establishment of class assemblies, where parents are invited in to celebrate the children's learning takes place on a rolling programme. This is combined with open afternoons to help parents to engage with their child's learning. Opportunities to develop ICT skills by embedding them into curriculum are well established.
