Junior School Ambassadors

Buddy Ambassador

Buddy Ambassadors are responsible for promoting kindness and empathy throughout the school. Every class has two Buddy Ambassadors. They attend regular meetings with staff to help them acquire the skills and techniques to promote our school values and in particular, anti-bullying strategies. Buddy Ambassadors are mindful of all children during playtimes. They are easily identified by their Buddy Ambassador hi-vis jackets and are available for any children who need a friend or someone to help resolve any minor issues in the playground. They are taught how to use positive language that can uplift others at school. Buddy Ambassadors give Buddy Awards during our weekly assemblies to celebrate and highlight special acts of kindness in every class.

Class Ambassador

Each class appoints two Class Ambassadors using a voting system. These pupils represent the class views and are responsible for sharing pupil voice during school council meetings. They lead by example and can be relied upon to uphold the school values and ethos. Class Ambassadors may be asked to talk to visitors about our school and are positive role models to others. Class Ambassadors meet regularly and discuss ways of improving our school.

Reading Ambassador

Children from Y5 and 6 are given the opportunity to become Reading Ambassadors by completing an application form. They are responsible for promoting reading for pleasure throughout the school. Each Reading Ambassador has a Reading Buddy. Buddies and Ambassadors meet weekly to read to each other and enjoy reading for pleasure. Reading Ambassadors may also help with choosing new books for our school library and thinking of ideas about how to improve the library area.
